Richard
Thomas Bothel, Ed.D., has a significant record of success as a writer,
teacher, administrator, corporate manager, entrepreneur, speaker and outdoor
sportsman. His area of special interest is experiential learning in the
outdoors. He is nationally recognized in education and business. His articles
have appeared in publications such as The Journal of Distance Learning
Administration, Planning for Higher Education, T.H.E. Journal: Technological
Horizons in Education, Ed Journal, The Education Digest, The Community
College Journal, Adult Learning, Community Education Journal, and Teaching
Today.
Along with his academic publications, his writing has appeared
in many national magazines. He has received three academic Awards of Excellence
from Ball State University and was both an Indiana Bell and AT&T fellow.
Toastmasters International awarded him their highest designation, Distinguished
Toastmaster. He is a USCG Captain with Master's License Certification.
